Conflict of Interest

MSU is a subdivision of the State of Michigan and a federal prime contractor, and as such, is subject to laws and regulations with respect to conflict of interest. Prior to supplying goods or services to MSU, a company must disclose any and all potential conflicts of interest for appropriate handling and disposition by MSU. Examples include, without limitation:

  • An MSU employee, their spouse, or their child has a financial interest in your company
  • Your organization is owned by a relative or related-party of an MSU employee

Required form

Please note that a signed Conflict of Interest form (.pdf) is required from all external suppliers prior to providing goods or services to MSU.  Further, MSU Procurement cannot add an external supplier as a PO vendor in the MSU Finance System until the form has been received.
