Suppliers may be required to perform and certify criminal background checks of its personnel pursuant to MSU’s contractor criminal background check policy.
In such circumstances, the university reserves the right to audit compliance with the policy requirements and may require documentation of compliance from the supplier. Suppliers will be required to provide documentation of compliance with criminal background check requirements upon request from the university within a reasonable time period, not to exceed fifteen business days. Requests for such audits will be made by MSU Procurement in accordance with MSU’s contractor criminal background check policy.
The assigned MSU Procurement buyer will request a Contractor Certification of Criminal Background Check form (.pdf) if required.
